It is very cute but I don’t like the fact you can’t separate the pacifier from the animal. When she spits up, it of course gets on the animal. I purchased her a paci plushie and I much prefer that because you can use any pacifier and it separates so you can wash them separately. Someone said they put the wannanub in the washer. That to me is gross. WHo wants to wash your childs paci in the same place you wash your dirty socks!

My daughter has 5 wubbies and they are the best! We have the cat(4 of them) and the pony! I am ordering the giraffe soon! These are the best! She loves to cuddle with wubbie and it’s easy for her to put in her mouth. I highly recommend these! The animals are really soft and floppy great for babies. Very durable and easy to wash also! Just throw it in the wash on a gentle cycle then air dry!

We just got this in the mail this past weekend and my son loves it! At 2 1/2 months he is able to place the paci back in his mouth when it falls out. He even likes to chew on the giraffes ears and arms! Before he did not like to take the pacifier and would only keep it in his mouth for a minute or two. Now it stays!

No Babies Included: after buying other Zhu Zhu products it will soon become obvious that nothing comes with a hamster (or baby hamster in this case). Luckily I found the stroller and a couple babies to go with it at the same time.

No Housing Structures: unlike other Zhu Zhu add-ons, this one doesn’t attach to the housing structure like the car for instance. So it does seem a little scarce when you open the big box and there are no building structure pieces included.

Movement: Once a hamster engages the stroller, it doesn’t let go of the stroller when it backs up, it will stay attached. So the hamsters move forward and backward with the stroller; it’s too heavy for any side-to-side, spinning, or turning movement though.

Assembly: The stroller comes in 3 pieces. The 2 canopy pieces have to be snapped in place on the carriage. At first, I thought the canopies didn’t fit right (or weren’t wide enough) until I realized you had to tilt and snap them into place. Once I did that, the thing holds together just fine, and the canopies flip from front to back with perfect alignment. I suspect those who might give it a “flimsy” rating are not installing the canopies correctly, which is perfectly understandable since there are no assembly instructions.

Free Baby in DS Game: One suggestion, if you can’t find a Zhu Zhu baby and your desperate… If your children happen to have a Nintendo DS, you can buy them the Zhu Zhu pet DS game and it comes with a little blue baby hamster in the box. Funny how the DS game comes with a baby and the stroller doesn’t!

I rarely write reviews, but I was so annoyed by this product I decided to this time. This product is cheap and falls apart, but that isn’t even the worse part. When you get the box it clearly looks like you get the stroller and the hampsters, nope. Just a stroller, my daughter was in tears when she spent her saved birthday money to buy it and opened it to find it half empty.

We got this toy at Kroger for probably half the price it is on here. The box says that the babies and hamster does not come with it, so we also bought two babies we found at the store (also cheaper than online). The stroller is a bit flimsy but not horrible (I pushed on it quite a bit to test durability). My 4 year old has been playing with it constantly, either pushing/carrying it around herself with the babies in it or having her hamster push it around, no problems with it popping apart or breaking. I would definitely not buy it here for the listed price though, I suggest trying to find it in-store.

I received Max & Ruby today. The dolls look exactly like the picture on the Internet. They are excellent quality and the construction is quite durable. The only qualms I would have with these would be the whiskers on the face they are quite stiff and probably not safe for children under four. Also Beanie isn’t exactly the word I would have used for these guys. The bottom is the only part of the doll that has Beans in it. If your expecting more these will disappoint. Other than those two I would say these are great! My daughter absolutely LOVES these but my son isn’t very interested (and they were bought for him). He LOVES Max & Ruby but the dolls did not peak his interest. I guess my daughter will enjoy a non-birthday present.

This Alvin Beanie is a great toy – looks like the real Alvin and is cute as can be. My children were thrilled to get some of the Chipmunk Beanies for Christmas. Amazon had this product when it was sold out everywhere else, and they shipped it to me in a day or two with NO EXTRA CHARGE just so it would be at my house in time for Christmas. Best Chipmunk movie collectibles I’ve seen so far…, January 10, 2010

Okay, so I just saw the Squeakquel, being a big fan of the Chipmunks going back to watching them as a small child in the ’80’s. As expected, it was a great time. Dave literally phoned it in this time, but “Uncle” Ian was back to exploit the Chipettes, and it was completely hilarious! Anyway, I had seen these Ty beanies of Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and Britney on Amazon a short time before and already knew I wanted them. I have a nice toy trio already that came with the DVD release of the first film in a Best Buy gift set, but I was always unsatisfied with their small size. These Ty beanies are much closer to the actual size of the Chipmunks in the live-action/CGI films. Still a bit short, but much closer (possibly more accurate to actual chipmunk size? I really don’t know though). So, I was thrilled when my package from Amazon arrived and much larger (but not too large) chipmunks than the ones I already have filled the box. These new Ty chipmunks look good, and I am giving them the full five stars because I do love them, but they could still have been better. They’re big enough to satisfy me without being too big, like a plush probably would be, and they have nice detail. However, they could have better detail. Most specifically, they could have the darker areas of their fur that form stripes, some of which (in the film) imply eyebrows. This is something I’ll miss in the tiny plush toys I have that I will probably get rid of after making this upgrade. Their tails in the film versions are longer than these Ty incarnations too, but that’s no biggie. I have yet to acquire Theodore, as I could only buy three when I ordered these with a gift card, and Brittany was a must (I’ll get Theo ASAP, for sure), so I can’t comment on him, but I can say that I think of the three I own, Simon has the best likeness since the glasses add detail to his overall look (wearing his blue hoodie, of course). Without the eyebrow enhancements, Alvin isn’t so striking, despite having that nicely made hoodie with stitched on “A”, and Brittany is very cute, but she also looks the most like a toy out of the three. Still, I’m thankful that she actually does have a center forehead stripe, and her outfit is very cute, though it does have fraying edges on the jacket’s bottom hem. She sports a cute ponytail like in the film, but I had to work with it a bit to make it lay right due to the way they chose to craft it (it’s stuffed itself, like her actual tail). Regardless of the nit-picky things, she looks great and all three of these beanies do, and I anticipate Theodore will look great when I get him as well. They just better not stiff us fans and cancel the line before making Jeanette and Eleanor! Oh, and what’s the deal with Alvin not wearing his cap? He doesn’t wear it in the Squeakquel (if I remember correctly), nor does the Ty beanie wear one! Alvin always wore his hat! I wouldn’t be surprised if they come out with a cap-wearing version if/when the other two Chipettes come out though, forcing me to buy Alvin all over again, ha.

The Zhu Zhu Pets may not be educational, but my daughter really loves these and they are really fun. They are much better on hardwood than on carpet. Try not to let them get hair or fibers in those spinning wheels. These are really cute and I don’t know one kid that doesn’t like them. My daughter’s friends and cousins are all very absorbed in them when they play with them.

Also, since I couldn’t find this information prior to buying one, I thought I’d share this: you CAN change the batteries. You need a screwdriver to open the compartment on their underside and replace the battery when a Zhu Zhu is getting “sluggish” or just won’t turn on anymore.

I bought this for my niece’s 7th birthday. It was a huge hit. She didn’t play with any other toys that day. The next weekend my brother called to let me know that they had to go out and buy 2 more Zhu Zhu pets (one for my younger niece and another one so that big sis would have more than her little sis.) Apparently, they had been fighting over the one. Now it has been a month and my brother informed me that the girls had saved up all there money to buy the entire Zhu Zhu city! He says it keeps them busy! Makes mom and dad happy for sure!

I got this for my daughter for Christmas because she had to have one. This is a pretty cool thing. When it is in a hamster ball you can close your room door and let the thing run around and it will not get stuck in corners etc. My daughter played with it for one day, and now it lives on her book shelf as a book end.

My 4 year old built the whole setup in about 20 minutes. It quickly got taken apart and incorporated into the rest of his collection. This was his first Star Wars piece, and he enjoys mixing up the helmets and body parts with his other figures. The price is reasonable for a set with four characters.

When my grandson was first put into it at 5 months, he struggled against being put in, and cried to be taken out and I was sure I’d made a mistake. I put the jumperoo out of sight for a month, and then brought it out before a visit from him and set his father’s old teddy bear in the seat. At six months, my grandson seemed to have forgotten his previous fear and was interested in what the bear was up to. I turned on the music and bounced the bear a few times, then asked him if he wanted to take a turn. He drooled approvingly, so I took the bear out and set him in it. When his legs collapsed for a moment, the music started and the little lights lit up and he jumped up and laughed. Right away he knew how to make the music come on, and as he danced to it, I danced like a crazy old lady with him and we’d never had so much fun! Now, at 7 1/2 months, he still loves to go in the Jumperoo, loves the music, loves the turning and rolling and sliding toys he’s discovered, turns himself around and put his nose next to the plastic mirror and laugh. But most of all, he loves to pump his little legs and the way his face lights up when we dance makes it worth twice what it cost me.

My 8-month old cannot get enough of this jumperoo. She just goes crazy playing with all the bells and whistles while jumping at the same time…it’s so entertaining to watch her . I think this is definitely a must-have for all parents and babies. The only thing that I would change is have more activities all around, it’s kinda limited and baby gets bored with them easily.

I bought this for my son when he just turned 5 months & he loves it.

It keeps him busy most evenings. He loves the songs too & the way it lights up when the music is on. My son is a jumper, he even jumps when you are carrying him. he is six months now & still loves his jumperoo.

I bought this for my nephew for his sixth birthday. As a baby and toddler, he was always fascinated by bead mazes, and I thought this might be the next level up for him, now that’s he’s 6. Boy, was I right! Out of all the Legos and Hot Wheels and other toys and games he was given for his birthday, it was the Perplexus Maze Game that went to bed with him that night. (And as a bonus, the maze is fun for the adults to play, too. On the box it says “for ages 6 to 106″, and that is certainly right.)

I LOVE the Perplexus! It is very challenging and very addicting! We play it hour on end, and it just doesn’t get boring! The only thing I wish is that the numbers on the track were white or some color that stood out so you could see them easier. Other than that, it’s a great toy for any age!!!!!

It seems a new version came out around Dec09, correcting some earlier problems. The only thing they couldn’t fix [cost?] was the anoying reflections off the surface of the sphere.

It was brilliant of the designers to include a set of 3 “Starting Points” on this single but long path; this means that if, say, a youngster gets to the half-way point when the ball slips off the path, he doesn’t have to go all the way back to the beginning but can pick up his path a 3rd of the way in.

It’s the perfect childrens’ toy because they themselves are training themselves in patience, persiverance and are increasing their own attention span while practicing manual dexterity and developing spatial awareness.

Maria Montessori would have turned green with envy!

It’s an interesting toy and time-killer for adults. My 4 year old is also fascinated by it. However in one of the steps where the ball should drop into a “basket”, it just stopped working. I guess the few slight bangs from the children knocked it out of alignment. It became frustrating when one step just doesn’t work.
